Account

Do I have to register to be able to shop?

Yes, this way you can also use the "My account" area, where you can see the status of your orders and the corresponding delivery bill in real time. What's more, you don't have to re-enter your details every time you make a purchase.

How can I request a new password if I have forgotten it?

You can recover your password either in the "My account" section or in the "Log in" section. There you have the option of requesting an email to renew your password.

How can I delete my Metro account?

Where can I change my name and/or address?

You can change your address at any time in the "My account" section, as well as at the checkout (step 2).

Shipping & delivery

I have not received an order confirmation. What do I do now?

Please check your spam folder first. If you cannot find the order confirmation there either, please contact our customer service.

Where is my order?

You will find a tracking number in the shipping confirmation email, which you can click on directly in the email to receive information about the current delivery status.

Do I have to pay shipping costs?

For orders with a total value of less than CHF 39.95, shipping costs of CHF 6.90 will be charged.

I have received a faulty or incorrect item. What should I do?

Do the billing and delivery addresses have to be the same?

The delivery address must match the billing address only for the invoice payment method.

Can I have my order delivered to a store?

Unfortunately, this option is not available.

How long is the delivery time?

We only send PostPac Priority. You will usually receive your delivery within 1-2 working days.

How can I check whether my purchase was successful?

After you have completed the purchase process, you will receive an email confirming your order. If the email does not arrive, please contact our customer service.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Your order will be processed by us immediately. However, you have the option of canceling your order within a short time window after the order confirmation and placing a new one instead. To do this, please contact our customer service.

Can I delete an item from my order?

As long as your order has not yet been dispatched, this should normally be possible. Please contact our customer service team at .

Returns

What return options are available?

You can return the items to a Metro store of your choice or send them back by post.

If you want to return items from several orders, please make sure to enclose all the return slips for the respective orders. This makes it easy to keep the deliveries separate.

Return at a Metro store

Returns to the store are free of charge. To return items purchased online, please bring the delivery bill as well as the items you wish to return. If you want to exchange items, you can select the replacement items directly from the store range. Exchange only on presentation of a valid official ID.

A cash refund in the store is not possible.

Returns from galaxus.ch will not be accepted.

Return by post

To return an item by post, you will need the return slip that is enclosed with your parcel. If you no longer have this, you can log in to "My account" and download it via "My orders" in the order details.

Place the protected items in their original packaging in the parcel and enclose the completed return slip.

Has my return shipment arrived?

A confirmation of receipt will not be sent. However, you will be informed as soon as the processing of the return has been completed.

Reimbursement

How long will it take to process my refund?

The amount of the returned items will be refunded to the payment method selected when ordering within 10 working days. A cash refund in the store is not possible.

Please note: For orders under CHF 39.95, the shipping costs are due and payable even if the entire item is returned. The CHF 6.90 will not be refunded or deducted from the invoice.

You have various payment options to choose from: Twint, credit card (Master Card/Visa), invoice, PostFinance, Paypal and Metro Boutique gift card.

How do I redeem a gift card?

You can redeem your gift card directly at the checkout (step 3). Use the GIFT VOUCHER field for this. Don't forget to confirm your entry by clicking on "Redeem". The amount will then be included in the total amount in the shopping cart.

How do I redeem a discount code?

You can redeem your discount code directly at the checkout (step 3). Use the RABATTCODE field for this. Don't forget to confirm your entry by clicking on "Redeem". If all conditions are met, the discount will be deducted from the total amount of your order.

Our gift cards are available in all Metro stores, as well as in some post offices and in our online store.

Our gift cards can be redeemed in all Metro stores as well as in our online store. There is no minimum order value.

Instructions for using discount codes

Discount codes have a limited period of validity, which is specified in each case. They may also have a minimum order value.

The discount code can only be used once, after which the voucher code can no longer be redeemed.

-Subsequent crediting of the discount code to a completed order is not possible.

Only one discount code can be redeemed per order - but it can be combined with the credit from a gift card.

Can I credit or redeem my gift card retrospectively?

It is not possible to redeem vouchers retrospectively. If you have forgotten to redeem your voucher, you can use it on your next order, depending on its validity.
